“Out of every hundred applicants for an entry-level position, only five are suitable,” says Laurence Mathieu, CEO of NRB, one of Belgium’s largest IT companies with 3,500 employees. “That’s because the profile we’re looking for has changed significantly in recent years.” Whereas junior staff used to be able to start with routine tasks, based on what they had learnt during their studies, AI is increasingly taking over those tasks.
