The example of CILE: a successful S/4HANA migration!

In its 2020-2022 strategic plan, CILE has identified several strategic objectives: increase network efficiency; renew old connections; and maintain the rate of renewal of facilities.

The project

It is in this context that CILE chose NRB to realise the S4/HANA migration project. A necessary priority upgrade for CILE, that wants to take advantage of SAP's new functionalities and support projects linked to the company's digital transformation.
This new version has the advantage of:
  • Improving the user experience;
  • Enabling simplification of complex treatments;
  • Providing the ability to deploy SAP in the cloud.
The major challenges of the project

The first challenge of such a migration was intimately linked to the situation of the COVID-19 health crisis. As the workers were home-working, it was necessary to maintain a the group dynamics - at a distance - and to establish the right collaborative technological tools to stay connected.
The second challenge was the Customer Service module, which represents a major technological change for CILE.

A partnership, more than a client-supplier relationship

"The added value of the NRB teams is their competences, their expertise, and their availability teams but also the reflex of reinforcing the teams on critical moments in order to absorb the different demands", says Giuseppe Saltalamacchia, Head of Customer Service Projects at CILE.

He adds, "We've been working with NRB for several years now, and on this project, everything happened as planned, their teams showed very constructive."

This was corroborated by William De Angelis, IT Manager of CILE's digital transformation: "Excellent collaboration. COVID-19 forced us to be creative and agile in a complex project with a lot of stakeholders... and we dealt with it successfully!"
