Trasys Greece: Celebrating 15 years of growth

Tuesday 26 October 2021
Thanks to its agility and spirit, and the drive of an ambitious group

Trasys Greece celebrates the completion of 15 years of successful operation, with a broad range and diversity of expertise accumulated over the past one and a half decades. Trasys Greece is part of The NRB Group and one of the leading companies in the field of IT application development in Greece.

Since the acquisition of Trasys by The NRB Group in 2015, it has been fully integrated in the Group and made a quantum leap forward with an increase in turnover from €5 million in 2015 to €15 million in 2020.
This growth was realised, both by generating more business at existing customers due to the quality of service (ISO certifications) assuring customer loyalty, as by the acquisition of new customers.  Recent examples of the former are ECHA, the European Chemicals Agency or the UK government extending its contracts. Examples of the latter are new divisions of SWIFT or the EFSA, the European Food Safety Authority.

“Trasys Greece will keep pursuing its path towards quality, by aligning its operations with the best practices of The NRB Group. As part of The NRB Group's development plan, it will contribute to its ambitious growth strategy for the next 5 years, which is to grow from €500 million to €750 million in turnover. Moving forward, NRB is committed to further operations in Greece, remaining open and collaborative, and continuing to contribute to society’s digital ambitions at large. We have full confidence in the entire Trasys Greece team and are confident that they will continue to successfully achieve their growth and innovation goals in the years to come.” comments Pascal Laffineur, Chief Executive Officer of The NRB Group.

Trasys Greece is The NRB Group’s nearshore development centre, located in the city of Athens. The centre aims to provide innovation in an ever-changing environment, while employing more than 200 IT professionals that combine deep business expertise and the most advanced working methodology. It takes charge of the entire software development lifecycle from A to Z: analysis, development/configuration, migration of existing data, quality assurance & testing, deployment, documentation & training, support, and maintenance. The nearshore centre has developed an original approach combining the benefits of Scrum (that covers the delivery of the day-to-day activities) and PRINCE2 (that covers the project management framework at the macro-level). The centre has also been certified with ISO for Quality Management and ISO for Information Security Management, while it has been recognised by the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) as Adopter of the OWASP Software Assurance Maturity Model (SAMM).

“This year marks Trasys Greece’s 15th year of activity and the fact that we are still moving forward and winning accolades all these years is a testament to our sound strategy of staying relevant and innovative. We are immensely proud to employ so many of the industry’s brilliant minds and look forward to expanding even more with the further development of our clientele towards the European private sector and the creation of more than 30 new job positions in the year to come.
This will allow a scalable and successful growth in the coming years.” concludes Nicolas Strouboulis, Country Manager of Trasys Greece.
