Applications are an organisation's greatest asset, because they enable it to govern all its activities, whether in terms of purchasing, sales or human resources. Their day-to-day performance ensures business continuity and the ability to transform to keep pace with market growth.
Unfortunately, many mission-critical applications have been around for a long time and no longer meet today's requirements, particularly in terms of security and performance.
The consequences: a brake on innovation and agility, and ultimately a loss of control over the IT assets.
The solution is called application modernisation in three stages: containerisation, artificial intelligence and the cloud (sovereign and hybrid).
Containerisation is a guarantee of agility, resilience and portability. Each application runs in an isolated container. This segmentation makes for more reliable deployments, better management of traffic peaks and platform independence.
AI stimulates the modernisation process through intelligent dependency analysis, accelerates migrations and transforms code (from COBOL to Java, for example for the mainframe).
The cloud environment specific to each application provides specific benefits, aligned to the needs expressed by the organisation: innovation and scalability (public cloud), sovereignty and compliance (NRB private cloud) or progressive modernisation (hybrid cloud).
We will present these options in an exciting webinar on 9 April (in French) and 23 April (in English), between 11 a.m. and 11:45 a.m.
