As the rise of AI and digital sovereignty have become strategic issues for European countries and their organizations, NRB has signed a strategic partnership with the start-up AI5, further advancing the deployment of a unique AI ecosystem in Belgium, combining sovereign infrastructures, a generative AI platform, and partnerships in research and innovation.
As Laurence Mathieu, CEO of NRB, explains:
"We are at a turning point: adopting AI is no longer optional, but it must be done within a sovereign and secure framework, serving organizations, their clients, and their employees."
NRB’s AI ecosystem is built on:
- Three sovereign and geo-resilient data centers located in Belgium, ensuring the security of critical data.
- SophIA, a sovereign generative AI platform, already adopted by several major players in sensitive sectors.
- Strategic partnerships, such as the alliance with the Belgian start-up AI5 and the AI Chair launched with the University of Liège.
This unique integrated ecosystem enables companies and institutions to strengthen their sovereignty, remain competitive, and ultimately create value for millions of citizens.
