NRB will be present at the BELGIAN CLOUD SUMMIT 2021 taking place as a virtual event on June, 8, 9, 10, 11.
NRB will present three webinars on the central theme: ‘the digital transformation of the enterprise’.
On 8 June at 4.15 pm, Fabian Delhaxhe, Digital Transformation & Innovation Consultant at NRB and Jessica Lion, Head of Flora at Flora Insurance will present how a disruptive approach was used to deploy the first 100% digital insurance. The title of their presentation is: “Flora Insurance: How to disrupt a traditional sector?”
On 9 June at 2.30 pm, Simon Mélotte, Infrastructure Cloud Transformation Services at NRB, will explain how to set up and leverage a multi-cloud strategy.
The title of his presentation is: “Setup a multi cloud strategy with Kubernetes”.
On 10 June at 1.45 pm, Rachid Layachi, Solution Design Architect at NRB will explain how NRB's state-of-the-art data centres are meeting the challenges of the cloud.
The title of his presentation is: “The datacentre and the challenge of the Cloud”.

June 8, 4.15 pm: Flora Insurance : “How to disrupt a traditional sector?”
Abstract :
In 2020, with the collaboration of NRB, Ethias launched Flora Insurance, the first Direct-2-Consumer 100% digital insurance in Belgium: from the subscription of an insurance contract to the management of a claim through a chatbot within one single mobile application. Discover how the team leveraged new ways of working (Agile, Lean Startup, Design thinking, …) and new technologies to deliver an MVP (minimum viable product) in 9 months and several releases per month.

Abstract :
There is no question that AWS, Azure, GCP and the other cloud providers have changed application development. During this session, Simon will explain how to set up and leverage a multi-cloud strategy with Kubernetes, helping an organisation to avoid vendor lock-in and providing access to wider cloud resources. And, it also simplifies a DR scenario and solves compliance issues.

Abstract :
The Cloud is a concept, which, like any concept, must be based on concrete, realistic and real things.
This notion of the Cloud is ultimately an abstraction of all the data and machines making up the services we consume in real time and from anywhere.
This abstraction takes concrete form in the data center. Rachid Layachi will explain how NRB's state-of-the-art data centres are coming up to the challenges of the Cloud.
