Green light to the purchase of Trasys by the NRB Group

Thursday 29 October 2015

The Belgian Competition Authority gave its formal consent to the purchase of Trasys Group shares by NRB on the 22nd of October. Trasys thereby became a 100% subsidiary of the NRB Group. The operational integration of the two companies starts straight away. With sales figure of 300 million Euros and more than 2,000 employees, the new entity has become one of the leaders of the Belgian ICT market.

An Extraordinary General Assembly took place this morning; it accepted the resignation of the former board members and named the new members of the Board of the Trasys Group, which will now be chaired by Ulrich Penzkofer

The objective is to integrate Trasys and NRB within one operational entity, with a single management team in 2016. The legal merger will come later, at the end of 2016. An Integration Program Office will be created, comprising senior managers of the two companies. It will coordinate 18 working groups, each representing major functions of the company, entrusted with defining the future organisation, the processes and integrated systems, while capitalizing on the advantages of each of the organisations. “We are convinced that bringing together the two companies will provide a major catalyst for increasing efficiency and the quality of our services, as well as expanding our ability to innovate – all of which we are placing at the disposal of our clients,” Ulrich Penzkofer concludes.
